Bowling Green, Ky. During the month of June, the WKU softball team will host two softball clinics. The 2009 Topper Summer Day Camp will run from June 15-17 while the Topper Summer Elite Camp will be held from June 22-24.
The Topper Summer Day Camp is for girls 9-18 and the Elite Camp is for girls aged 13 to high school seniors. Both camps will focus on the fundamentals of hitting, baserunning, defensive position play and throwing. All camps will be held at the WKU Softball Field on the campus of Western Kentucky University.
The Lady Toppers finished the 2009 season with a 35-19 overall record while Head Coach Tyra Perry was named the Sun Belt Conference Co-Coach of the Year. For more information on these camps please visit www.wkusports.com.
