Garrie Krueger, So., Lexington, Ky.
In his first season on the Hill, Garrie Krueger tied for the team lead in appearances with 28 on the mound. The sophomore threw 20.2 innings of relief allowing only 14 hits. The Lexington, Ky., native held opponents to only a .194 batting average, posting 23 strikeouts.
1. What is your favorite activity outside baseball?
I like playing Madden and N64.
2. What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is found at Applee's and it's honey boneless BBQ wings.
3. What books have you read lately?
I continue to study the Bible.
4. What is your favorite spring break destination?
My favorite spring break destination is Destin, Florida.
5. What was your favorite cartoon character when you were a child? Do you have one now?
As a youngster, my favorite was Rocko from Rocko's Modern Life. I really don't have a favorite now.
6. What is your favorite TV show?
I like watching Las Vegas.
7. If you could have dinner with any person in history, who would it be and why?
I'd like to dine with Ray Charles because he has been through so many trials and tribulations and came out an icon. I know he would have many good stories to tell.
8. Have you traveled anywhere outside the U.S.?
I have traveled to Costa Rica.
9. What are your plans after your playing days are over here at WKU?
After graduation I would like to be a strength coach or a firefighter.
10. What is your proudest moment in sports?
Winning the Sun Belt Conference Tournament championship was a very proud moment for me.
11. Who is your all-time favorite sports personality?
I like to listen to Scott Van Pelt.
12. What team do you currently root for?
I am a fan of the Seattle Mariners.
13. Who is your favorite singer or music group?
I like listening to Lil Wayne.
14. What is the best movie you have ever seen?
The best movie I have seen is Ray.
15. Who is the most influential person in your life and why?
My parents. Without them I wouldn't be the person I am today. They taught me everything I know and I love them very much.
