Hilltopper Spotlight
Evan Teague, Sr., Perryville, Ky.
During 2008, Teague appeared in 33 Hilltopper games. The left-handed-pitcher posted a 4-1 record and a 2.36 ERA all in relief for WKU. The senior threw 26.2 innings while holding opposing batters to a .250 batting average. The Perryville, Ky., native allowed only 11 hits and 13 earned runs. He gave up no home runs and triples.
1. What is your favorite activity outside baseball?
I like to fish and play golf.
2. What is your favorite food?
I like all foods, but my favorite would have to be a steak dinner.
3. What is your favorite spring break destination?
I've never had a spring break, but it would be somewhere on a beach.
4. What was your favorite cartoon character when you were a child? Do you have one now?
Fog Horn Leg Horn was my favorite cartoon character.
5. What is your favorite TV show
I'm a big fan of Entourage.
6. If you could have dinner with any person in history, who would it be and why?
I would like to meet Jesse James so I can hear about his outlaw stories.
7. Have you traveled anywhere outside the U.S.?
I haven't traveled anywhere outside the U.S.
8. What are your plans after your playing days are over at WKU?
I hope to play professional baseball, or just pursue a career in my degree.
9. What is your proudest moment in sports?
Winning the Sun Bet Championship and making it to NCAA Stillwater Regional are my proudest moment in sports.
10. Who is your all-time favorite sports personality?
Chipper Jones is my favorite sports personality.
11. What team do you currently root for?
I root for the Atlanta Braves.
12. Who is your favorite singer or music group?
It would have to be Garth Brooks or George Strait.
13. What is the best movie you have ever seen?
My favorite movie would have to be Tombstone.
14. Who is the most influential person in your life and why?
My mom is the most influential person in my life because she's always there for me and supports me.
