WKU Hilltoppers!
Hey all ya’ll Western Kentucky Fans! My name is Ciara Garcia and I am a freshman first baseman/outfielder for WKU. I am from Huntsville, Alabama… a little ways away from home but WKU is filling in quite nicely! I am majoring in Exercise Science and planning on throwing myself into the competitive world of physical therapy. I was scared beyond belief coming to this big school not knowing anyone, but let me tell you, this team treats you like family; they took me in and made me feel at home. Even the players that have already graduated treat you good. WKU is such a beautiful place, and you always have something to do… especially if you are a student-athlete! Our conditioning and work outs with our lovely trainer, Joey, have been intense but I feel like I’m getting to that place where I want to be to excel in softball! Our practices are also pretty intense but it’s nice seeing everybody work together and improve as a team. We have already gone through our fall ball season and it was a lot of fun! We went undefeated and everybody got to experience playing time and see what it’s like to start playing college ball. I loved it! I can’t wait for February and start our season up! GO TOPS!!
