The Showcase Camp will be held Sunday, Sept. 3 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. (CDT) at Nick Denes Field. The one-day event — aimed toward high school players interested in playing at the college level — will consist of a pro-style workout in the morning, with batting practice and games taking place in the afternoon. The WKU coaching staff, as well as professional scouts, will be on hand to instruct players.
The Fall Instructional League is also geared toward high school athletics, and will take place every Monday and Thursday from 5-8:30 p.m. The league will get started on Sept. 11 and run through Oct. 9. Each session will consist of 30 minutes of instruction, followed by two 90-minute games.
The cost for the Showcase camp is $100, while the Instructional League is $200.
Those wishing to register, or anyone with questions regarding either camp can contact Jonathan Hadra in the Hilltopper baseball office at (270) 745-2493. Registration is also available online at www.wkusports.com.
