The Hilltoppers and Ragin’ Cajuns will now open their series on Saturday (May 21) with a pair of nine-inning contests beginning at 1 p.m. (CDT). Western athletics will still hold their ceremony to honor head coach Joel Murrie at 12:45 p.m., prior to the start of the first game.
Western is still battling for a spot in the 2005 Aeropostale Sun Belt Conference Tournament in the final weekend of the regular season. The Hilltoppers need to win one more game than Arkansas-Little Rock — which hosts Florida International in a three-game series — in order to make the eight-team field.
