WKU Softball Drops Two At Florida International

Miami, Fla. – The Western Kentucky University softball team opened a four-game set at Florida International Saturday. The Hilltoppers (25-18, 6-4 SBC) dropped the first two games of the weekend series, 4-0 and 5-0, to Florida International (28-21, 6-4 SBC).

The Golden Panthers’ pitchers shut down the WKU offense, allowing just two hits in each game.

Western will play two more games against Florida International before returning home for a four-game series against Sun Belt Conference leading Louisiana-Lafayette; the Ragin’ Cajuns are currently ranked 14th in the nation. The Hilltoppers first game with Louisiana-Lafayette is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, at noon (CDT).
