Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University athletic department officials have announced that tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 23) night's men's basketball game with Middle Tennessee is a sellout.
No tickets remain for the 7 p.m. (CST) game, the regular season finale for the two Sun Belt Conference teams, "Senior Night" on the Hill and the last Western contest in E.A. Diddle Arena prior to the beginning of the facility renovation project. The contest will be the Hilltoppers' fourth sellout in 14 home games this season and second in the last three home contests.
"Ticket sales for this game have been brisk all along," WKU Ticket Manager Jim Cope commented. "But, things have really picked up in the last couple of days and we ran out of tickets this afternoon."
The 24th ranked Topper basketball team - 24-3 overall, 12-1 in SBC play and champions of the Sun Belt's East Division - will recognize graduating seniors Tremain Rowles, Chris Marcus and Derek Robinson (and their families) in pregame ceremonies.
In addition, outstanding Hilltopper basketball teams from 1962, 1967 and 1987 will be honored as a part of halftime "Coming Home" festivities.
In order to avoid congestion in the parking and Arena entrance areas, all those with tickets for the game are encouraged to make plans to arrive early. The doors routinely open 90 minutes prior to game time.
And, for those who do not have tickets for the game, the radio play-by-play will be available on the Big Red Radio Network - WKLX-FM 100.7 in Bowling Green and the network's 14 affiliates around the state. And, the game will be televised by the Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network - WKYU-PBS 24 in Bowling Green, along with affiliates WYCS-TV 24 in Louisville and WKAG-TV 43 in Hopkinsville, in addition, Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) will carry the game live on its affiliated cable systems across the South).
