Kailee Ladwig was named the Assistant Dance Coach for the Topperettes in January 2026.
In her role, Ladwig is responsible for assisting with all coaching and recruiting aspects of WKU's dance team, assisting in coordinating dance uniforms and music, coordinating preparation for athletic events and competitions, providing administrative assistance for the team, including the areas of budget, equipment, travel, academics and facility scheduling and assisting in fundraising. She plays an important role in development and execution of championship-level choreography and performance preparation.
Ladwig, a former Topperette, assumed her role as the Assistant Dance Coach after nearly a decade of experience as a dance educator, preparing dancers for regional and national competitions, collegiate auditions and recruitment opportunities with an emphasis on technical excellence, performance quality and competitive readiness. She had been named the WKU Topperette of the Year and received the WKU Leadership Award.
Ladwig, a native of Franklin, Tennessee, earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from WKU in 2024 and is pursuing graduate degrees in Recreation & Sport Administration, Intercollegiate Athletic Administration and Facility & Event Management.
