Josh Mudgett currently serves as the Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities and Event Management.
In his role, Mudgett serves as the primary event manager for WKU's Volleyball, Softball and Women's Basketball programs, and also serves as the leading parking operations manager for WKU Football game days, the assistant event manager for WKU Football and the assistant event manager for WKU Men's Basketball.
Mudgett is the facility coordinator for the WKU Soccer/Softball Indoor Facility, and is responsible for managing, overseeing and coordinating daily operations and maintenance for the building, in addition to any facility renovations or capital projects at the facility. He is responsible for overseeing access control systems for each WKU athletics facility, and manages all maintenance requests for Houchens-Smith Stadium. He also serves as the grounds coordinator for all WKU athletic facilities.
Mudgett is responsible for managing graduate assistant and student workers, as well as hiring and scheduling gameday personnel, such as official scorers, public address announcers and replay technicians. He oversees WKU Facilities Management and Building Services Attendant staff at all athletic events, and serves as the liaison between parking and transportation, special events and the athletics department during athletic events.
Mudgett originally joined the WKU staff in the summer of 2023 as a Graduate Assistant of Athletics Facilities. In that role, he assisted with day-to-day operations of all WKU athletics facilities and event management for football, men's and women's basketball, volleyball, baseball, cross country and track and field.
A graduate from Marietta College, Mudgett earned a bachelor's degree in Sports Management in 2022 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Recreation and Sports Administration at WKU.
