Martinez serves as a volunteer assistant coach on the WKU Women's Tennis staff. She began her coaching career with the Lady Toppers in 2024-25, following her four-year playing career with the team.
The La Guaira, Venezuela, native finished her career as the program's all-time leader in career doubles wins with 56, and she also holds the program's record for doubles wins in a season, collecting 17 wins teammate Sofia Blanco. She was a two-time Conference USA All-Academic Team member, a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree and a two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete.
As a senior during the 2024 season, Martinez went 15-6 in doubles play, which marked the seventh-most doubles wins in a single season in program history. Martinez went 1-0 at No. 1 doubles, 7-6 at No. 2 doubles, and 7-0 at No. 3 doubles. Martinez went 3-1 in singles play in the spring of 2024, with a 2-1 record at the No. 5 position and a 1-0 record at the No. 6 position. Martinez was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team and the CSC Academic All-District Team.
During her junior season in 2023, Martinez posted a 12-11 mark in doubles play, playing primarily in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions throughout the season, and set the program's record for career doubles wins during the campaign. The 12 wins were tied for 15th-most in a single season in program history. She was named CSC Academic All-District, CUSA All-Academic Team and ITA Scholar-Athlete.
During the 2022 season, she went 6-2 in singles matches in the No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 spots. She was 17-6 in doubles matches, primarily in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, as she was paired with Sofia Blanco in 20 matches, all in the No. 3 spot. Her 17 wins in doubles matches with Blanco are tied for the most all-time in Lady Topper single season history.
Martinez went 2-8 in singles play between the No. 3 and No. 4 spots during her first season playing at WKU. She recorded a 12-5 doubles record with partner Laura Bernardos – including a 12-4 mark at the No. 2 spot – while going 4-1 against Conference USA competition. The 12 doubles wins were the eighth-most by a Lady Topper in a single season in program history at that time.
Prior to her playing career at WKU, Martinez was ranked as the No. 1 player in the Venezuelan national and Vargas state rankings. She earned a top-five spot in the country's rankings in the U16 and U18 division, and also shined in the classroom, graduating from Colegio Romulo Gallegos with a 4.0 GPA.Â
