Lauren Zaglifa began with WKU Track and Field in 2023 after coaching pole vault at UW-Stevens Point since 2021.
Before her two seasons as a coach at UWSP, Zaglifa was a standout student-athlete at Marshall University where she put together a record-setting pole vault career. As a freshman, she made an immediate impact by breaking the school record in the event three times each during the indoor and outdoor season.
Zaglifa also became the first pole vaulter in Marshall history to earn points at the indoor conference championship and the first to clear the bar at the outdoor conference championship. During her sophomore season, Zaglifa broke the school record again during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. She then became the first in school history to clear the bar at four meters, a mark that qualified her for the NCAA Championships.
Zaglifa owns a bachelor's degree in health science with a minor in English. She is also working toward a master's degree in general education from UWSP.
