As a Senior (2021): 2021 Senior CLASS Award candidate…Second Team All-Conference USA…Preseason All-Conference Team…Started and played in all 47 games for WKU behind the plate…Batted .266 with 38 hits including 7 doubles and 5 home runs…Drove in 23 runs, while scoring 28…Recorded a .420 slugging percentage and .359 on-base percentage…Recorded 2 sacrifice flies while also stealing two bases…Had a .994 fielding percentage with 295 putouts and 25 assists…Hit .412 with 3 hits including a home run against Indiana State on February 21.
As a Junior (2020): Preseason All-Conference USA Team selection…Started all 25 games – 24 at catcher and one at third base…Owned a .348 batting average with 24 hits including four doubles and a team-best five home runs…Scored 14 runs while driving in 22…Registered a .623 slugging percentage along with a .429 on-base percentage…Tallied a team-best three sac flies, which ranked ninth in the nation and led C-USA, in addition to a sacrifice hit…Stole two bases…Tallied 195 putouts and 24 assists for a .991 fielding percentage…Picked off two base runners and caught 8-of-14 runners attempting to steal a base…Three home runs came with two strikes while the other two were on the first pitch…Six multi-hit games including a four-hit outing in WKU’s win over Ohio and a three-hit contest in the Hilltoppers’ win over Green Bay (Feb. 23)…Seven multi-RBI games including a four-RBI showing against IUPUI (Feb. 28) and a trio of three-RBI outings…Season-best five-game hitting streak and nine-game reached base streak…Team-best nine two-out RBI.
As a Sophomore (2019): Third Team NFCA All-Region…First Team All-Conference USA…Sand Dollar Classic All-Tournament Team…Started all 50 games at catcher for WKU, starting the first 104 games of her career on The Hill…Slashed .321/.423/.650 during her sophomore campaign…Connected for 45 hits – eight doubles, a triple and 12 home runs – while driving in 46 runs…Scored 32 runs and drew 23 walks…Posted a pair of sac flies and stole five bases…Had 406 putouts and 29 assists behind the plate for a .991 fielding percentage…Threw out eight runners on the season and picked off another…Slashed .338/.476/.723 in conference play…Two multi home run games and 10 multi-hit outings…14 showings with multiple RBI – including three with three and two with four RBI…Team-best 10-game hitting streak and season-best 10-game reached base streak…Posted three go-ahead hits for WKU in come-from-behind victories…19 two-out RBI…Caught the second no-hitter of her career on March 1 against Evansville.
As a Freshman (2018): Conference USA All-Tournament Team…Went 3-for-5 in two games at the C-USA Championships with a double, RBI, sacrifice hit and a run scored…Of all C-USA individuals that played in multiple games at the Championships, Smith’s .600 average was the second-best mark…The only catcher at the C-USA Championships to catch two runners attempting to steal while allowing zero stolen bases…One of four Hilltoppers to start all 54 games on the season…Hit .240 overall, going 35-for-146 at the dish…Scored 33 runs…Recorded 10 doubles and five home runs for a .411 slugging percent…Registered 22 RBI…Drew 21 walks and four hit by pitch for a .345 on base percentage…Posted three sacrifice flies and four sacrifice hits in addition to going a perfect 4-for-4 on the base paths…Punched out 13 runners attempting to steal from behind the plate to go along with five pick offs…Owned a .969 fielding percentage with 252 putouts and 28 assists…Owned nine multi-hit games…Multiple RBI in five games with three three-RBI showings and two two-RBI outings…Season-best four-game hitting streak…Season-best seven-game reached base streak.
High School: Three-time All-State selection, two first-team nods...Two-time Culvers' Player of the Year...Ranked 69th on Flo Softball's top-100 in class of 2017 list...4th Region Player of the Year following her sophomore campaign.
