Sam Everson enters his first season as a graduate assistant on the WKU Hilltopper Basketball staff in 2019-20.
Everson’s duties include assisting with the day-to-day operations of the program, assisting with all practices and games, and traveling to away games to assist players and coaches with all aspects surrounding the program.
Everson served as a manager for the Hilltoppers during the 2018-19 season. Before that, he was an unpaid assistant coach at Avila University in Kansas City, Mo., in 2017-18.
Everson played four years at Avila, where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2017. He’s currently pursuing a master’s degree from WKU in sports administration with an emphasis in coaching.
The Madison, Wis., native graduated from Middleton High School in 2012.
