Nate Dennison serves as WKU’s Director of Recruiting under head coach Mike Sanford. In this role, Dennison is responsible for all on-campus recruiting functions including official visits, coordinates with the Western Kentucky University admissions office and monitors the team’s Academic Progress Rate (APR) score. He is also responsible for managing all print and digital recruiting efforts for the Hilltoppers.
In two recruiting cycles under Sanford, the Hilltoppers have signed the top-ranked classes in school history in consecutive seasons.
Prior to his current position, Dennison spent seven seasons as WKU's Director of Player Personnel. Under Dennison's watch, WKU signed the top recruiting class in the Sun Belt in consecutive seasons, 2012 and 2013, as well as the No. 2 class in Conference USA in 2014. The 2015 class was rated No. 3 in the league.
Dennison came to WKU in the summer of 2007, and spent two seasons as a recruiting graduate assistant. He was promoted to assistant recruiting coordinator for the 2009 season before taking on a player development title in 2009.
A native of Lore City, Ohio, Dennison attended Ohio State University, where he earned a degree in sport and leisure studies in 2007. He spent the 2007 season as a recruiting intern for the Buckeyes before coming to WKU.
