Of his 17 hits, 7 were 2-baggers; doubled in 3 straight games from Feb. 25-28 and went 6-for-10 in that span with 3 runs scored and 3 driven in ... Went 1-for-2 vs. Illinois State on March 10, but also walked twice and reached once more via hit by pitch; scored a career-high 3 runs and drove in a pair that afternoon ... Went 3-for-6 with a 2-run double in his 1st Division I series in his home state April 7-9 at UTSA ... Notched 4 multi-hit and 3 multi-RBI games over the course of the year.
At Tyler JC: Had a season to remember in 2016, leading the Apaches to an NJCAA Division-III Championship while earning First Team All-American honors ... Slashed .358/.468/.623 in 52 games with 58 hits, 27 of those for extra bases (18 doubles, 2 triples and 7 homeruns) ... Knocked in 48 runs and scored 36, while adding 32 walks and six times hit by pitch compared to only 26 strikeouts ... Had 5 games with 4-plus runs batted in, as Tyler went 5-0 in those contests ... Was also an Academic All-American.

Both of his brothers (Garrett and Landon) played baseball at Letourneau University in the early 2010’s ... Studying Sport Management at WKU ... Biggest thrill while playing sports has been competing in big moments, most specifically winning the 2016 NJCAA Division-II National Championship at Tyler ... Favorite athlete is Brett Favre because of his competitive drive and work ethic ... Chose WKU because it felt like a place at which he could succeed on and off the field ...
