2021 (Redshirt Junior): Appeared in 16 games on the mound for the Hilltoppers … Went 4-1 with three saves and a 4.08 ERA … Ranked first on the team in saves and second in wins … Struck out 15 batters in 17.2 innings of action … Earned a win against Cincinnati (2/26) while allowing just one run and recording three strikeouts in a season-high 4.0 frames … Picked up a save at Tulane (3/7) while fanning three batters in 2.2 innings of work.
*2020 (Redshirt Junior): Appeared in six games on the mound for the Hilltoppers … Went 1-1 with one save and a 5.40 ERA … Recorded 11 strikeouts in 6.2 innings … Ranked fifth on the team in strikeouts … Struck out three batters while not allowing a hit in 1.0 innings against Austin Peay (2/25) … Earned a save against Murray State (2/19) while striking out one batter in 1.1 frames of work … Picked up a win at USC Upstate (2/29) while whiffing two batters in 1.2 innings of action.
2019 (Redshirt Sophomore): Appeared in 21 games while making two starts on the mound for the Hilltoppers … Ranked first on the team with six wins and a 4.04 ERA … Ranked second on the squad with 54 strikeouts through 42.1 innings … Ranked second on the team with three saves … Picked up a win over Old Dominion (5/17) after throwing a career-high 4.1 innings of scoreless ball while recording three strikeouts … Tied a career-high with five strikeouts in 3.2 innings of action against UTSA (5/24) … Earned a save against UTSA (4/28) after striking out four batters in 1.1 frames of hitless action.
2018 (Sophomore): Missed the season and redshirted while recovering from injury.
2017 (Freshman): Sutton was one of the promising young arms on the mound for the Hilltoppers, making 1 start and 16 appearances out of the bullpen ... Pitched 2-plus innings in 7 of those appearances and 3-plus strikeouts in 7 as well ... Did not allow a run in his first 3 outings, combining for 3 scoreless frames with 3 punchouts ... Earned victories on Opening Day vs. Valparaiso and May 2 vs. Eastern Kentucky, finishing with a 2-1 record on the year ... Best outing came April 29 at Louisiana Tech, pitching 3 scoreless frames against the Bulldogs with 3 strikeouts ... Overall, faced 15 inherited runners and stranded 12 of them ... Was 1-of-2 WKU pitchers who threw 10-plus innings and did not allow a homerun.
At Eastern HS: Registered a 2.00 ERA on the mound and hit .350 at the plate for the Eagles, earning 2 varsity baseball letters ... Earned the team MVP, Offensive, Gold Glove and Two-Out Production awards ... Helped lead his teams to Perfect Game Super25 Ohio Valley Regional and St. Louis Games Invitational titles ... Named to the 18U and 17U WWBA National Championship All-Tournament Teams.

His father played baseball at the University of Kentucky and was selected in the seventh round of the 1988 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins ... Studying Business at WKU ... Favorite athletes are Derek Jeter and LeBron James ... Chose WKU because of the great program (coaches and facilities) school and campus ... Plans to pursue a career in business after his playing days are over ... Sutton's father had the biggest influence on his athletic career because he taught him the game he loves and got him to where he is today.
