Green comes to WKU from the University of Arkansas and is enrolled for the spring semester. She has one season of eligibility remaining and will bring a plethora of experience to the WKU backline after playing three seasons with the Razorbacks.
During Green's three years with Arkansas, the team advanced to the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons in 2013 and 2014. As a freshman in 2013, Green and the Razorbacks made it to the Sweet 16 before losing to Duke in penalty kicks. In 2014, Arkansas advanced to the second round. The experience of playing in the postseason is something that Green hopes to bring with her to the Hill.
In high school in Renton, Wash., Green participated in Washington's Olympic Development Program from 2007-10 and was invited to the ODP camp in 2008 and 2010. At the club level, Green played with the Crossfire Premier and the team won the Washington State Championship in 2007. She split her prep career at Kennedy High School and Hazen High School and scored 22 career-goals and recorded 24 career-assists.
Neidell on Green: "We are excited to bring Dee Dee to the Hill. Dee Dee adds a specific skill set that we were looking for with her speed and natural left foot, which will be important in our transition game on both sides of the ball. In getting to know Dee Dee, we were impressed with her competitive spirit, maturity, and willingness to step out of her comfort zone."
