2018-19 (Senior)
Named to the President's List in spring 2019 and the Dean's List in fall 2018... Named WKU’s Male Scholar of the Year… Participated in one event for the Hilltoppers, competing as an individual at the GS Individual Challenge.
2017-18 (Junior)
Competed in three events for the Hilltoppers with a stroke average of 75.8... Best result was a tie for 12th at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate, where he shot an even-par 216... Also had season lows for 18 holes (71) and 36 holes (144) in Mobile.
2016-17 (Sophomore)
Appeared on the five-man lineup in 11 of WKU’s 12 tournaments… Finished in the top-20 on three different occasions for the Hilltoppers, including a tie for 12th at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate… Fired his career-low round and 36 holes at the Firestone Invitational, shooting 66 and 141, respectively… Led the team at the Firestone Invitational, tying for 20th while carding an even-par 216… Finished the season with a stroke average of 75.1.
2015-16 (Freshman)
Enjoyed a strong freshman season on The Hill, competing on the card in all 11 tournaments for WKU... Led or tied for the lead on the Hilltoppers' card six different times in 2015-16, including his first appearance at the C-USA Championships... Opened his career with a four-over 220 at the Memphis Intercollegiate to tie for 24th alongside teammate Bryant Evans... Led the card outright with a 25th-place showing at the Firestone Invitational in his second tournament... Earned three top-10 finishes during the campaign and one top-five showing, placing a career-best fourth at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate to lead WKU to the team title... His 67 in the opening round in that tournament was the lowest single round of the season for the Hilltoppers... Paced WKU to a 10th-place finish at the C-USA Championships with a seven-over 223, finishing tied for 18th.
Prep/HS: Smith prepped at Webb School where he won the Division II A Tennessee State High School individual championship and helped his team to their first team championship in the event. He also finished 28th in the Tennessee State Amateur Championship this summer. Smith also previously won the opener on the American Junior Golf Association tour at Chateau Elan in 2013.
