SOPHOMORE (2019-20): Started and appeared in the first 10 games of the season prior to suffering a tibial plateau fracture in his left leg against Arkansas on Dec. 7… Had season-ending surgery in Houston on Dec. 10… Climbed up to ninth on WKU’s career blocks list with 97… Named C-USA Player of the Week on Dec. 2 after averaging 19 points in 33.5 minutes in games against Fordham and No. 2 Louisville… Named to U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team… Scored season-high 24 points, shooting 10-of-10 at the charity stripe, with 12 rebounds against Fordham on Nov. 25… Had career highs of four assists and three steals to go with 19 points and 12 rebounds against Bowling Green on Nov. 22… Selected to preseason watch lists for Naismith Trophy, John R. HIGH SCHOOL: Reclassified into the 2018 class after graduating early… Averaged 19.4 points, 12.8 rebounds, 3.4 blocks, 2.9 assists and 1.7 steals per game as a junior for Aspire Academy in Louisville… Shot 56.5 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from the 3-point line… Ranked as the No. 6 player in the nation in the 2018 class in the 247Sports Composite rankings and No. 9 by Rivals… Spent first two years at St. Anthony Catholic School in San Antonio, Texas… Earned MaxPreps Freshman All-American honors in 2015-16 after posting 20.2 points, 17.1 rebounds and 5.9 blocks per game… Led St. Anthony to a 32-6 record and a TAPPS 5A state championship.
MISCELLANEOUS: Became first player ever to be named MVP two years in a row at the Pangos All-American Camp… Broke the Nike Hoop Summit record for rebounds with 17 in the World team’s victory over Team USA in April 2018… Also named MVP of the 2018 Basketball Without Borders camp in Los Angeles… Majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Health.
