NOTABLES
- Through three tournaments this season, WKU has not finished lower than third place.
- As a team, the Hilltoppers had 58 birdies, the second most in the tournament. WKU averaged 4.60 strokes on Par 5 holes as a team, tying the best average in the tournament.
- Freshman Colton Woosley had another impressive round, firing a 69 (-3) for the final round on Tuesday. His 8-under score for the tournament put him in third place. Woosley had 14 birdies in the tournament and averaged 3.75 strokes on Par 4s, which was the best rate in the field.
- Sophomore Will Easterlin finished tied for 13th place with a 2-under score for the tournament. He shot a 75 (+3) in the third round.
- Junior Trevor Drew finished tied for 21st place with an even score for the tournament. He carded a 74 (+2) in the third round.
- Senior Rafe Blankenship posted a 74 (+2) in the third round to finish the tournament 6-over, putting him in a tie for 57th place.
- Senior Gage Doyle moved up nine spots in the standings with an even 72 on Tuesday. His 7-over score for the tournament put him in a tie for 65th place.
QUOTABLE
"As a team we didn't get much going until the end of the round and I was happy to see the guys fight until the end and have a good competitive finish," said head coach Austin King. "I was extremely proud of Colton and his strong play, him making birdie on the last 5 holes was awesome to watch! We've got some work to do the next few days, but I'm excited for the quick turnaround to UK next week."
