BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU women's golfer Grace Frei has been named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday. Frei is the first golfer to earn the award in the 2026-27 season, and it is her first time in her career earning the honor.
Frei was the top finisher for WKU at the Boilermaker Classic on Monday and Tuesday. The senior finished tied for 16th place with a 5-over total score the tournament. She carded a 73 in the first round, a WKU career low 72 in the second round and a 76 in the third.
Her 16th place finish was also the highest for Frei in her WKU career. Frei had 12 birdies throughout the tournament, which was tied for the seventh most of any player in the field.
Frei and the Lady Toppers will be back in action at the Badger Invitational hosted by Wisconsin on Sept. 13-15.
