BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -Â Three WKU Baseball student athletes were named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams, the organization announced Tuesday.
Lane Arroyos, Zach Lyles, and Mick Uebelhor were recognized as three of the nation's top student athletes for their performance both on the field and in the classroom.
Arroyos, WKU's offensive leader in 2026, finished with a slash line of .357/.469/.577 with 76 hits, 53 RBIs, and 43 runs. The first baseman matched the single season program record for doubles with 24. 32 of his 76 total hits were extra-base hits. He led CUSA in doubles, second in batting average, on base percentage, and third in OPS, earning him All-CUSA First Team honors. Arroyos' double total also ranked No. 5 in the nation. Arroyos finished with a 3.60 GPA and is pursuing a degree in marketing.
Lyles was a strong reliever for a WKU pitching staff that allowed the fewest walks in CUSA (195) and top-five in ERA (5.35). The junior posted a 4.11 ERA with a pair of wins and four saves which matched a team best. Lyles allowed 16 earned runs on 33 hits along with 32 strikeouts. Lyles finished the year with a 3.72 GPA and is pursuing a degree in construction management.
Uebelhor was a dominant long reliever for the Hilltoppers in 2026. Uebelhor logged a 3.43 ERA in 44.2 innings of work and finished with three wins and four saves. He was second on the team in strikeouts with 59 and posted a .200 opponent batting average. Uebelhor posted a 3.80 GPA and is pursuing a degree in management.
