BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Four members of the WKU women's golf team were honored with Conference USA postseason awards, the organization announced on Thursday. Reagan Ramage was named Freshman of the Year, Adam Gary was named Coach of the Year, Sydney Hackett earned First Team All-CUSA honors, Ramage was named to the second team and Leah Edwards was named to the third team.
Ramage won the CUSA Championship in April, shooting 3-under for the tournament. She is the first freshman to have won the championship since 2013 and she's the third Lady Topper to win it in the last four seasons. Her 7-under 65 in the third round of the tournament is tied for the lowest score by a Lady Topper in a conference tournament and tied for the third lowest in any tournament. She is the second WKU golfer to win CUSA Freshman of the Year, joining Sydney Hackett who won the award in 2023.
It is the third straight CUSA Coach of the Year honor for Gary after also winning the award in 2024 and 2025. Gary led WKU to its second consecutive CUSA title in April and coached the individual champion for the third time in four seasons. In 2025-26, the Lady Toppers earned top 10 finishes in six tournaments. WKU had a daunting 10-tournament schedule that included events at Purdue, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas A&M against several top 50 teams. Gary is the all-time winningest coach in WKU women's golf history, winning 16 total tournaments during his twelve-year reign.
Hackett has led one of the most successful careers in WKU history. She has won three tournaments in her career, which is the third most by any player in program history behind only Mary Joiner (6) and Catie Craig (5). This season, Hackett was co-champion of the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate at Tennessee that featured 15 total teams. She has six top 10 finishes this season, including a sixth-place finish in the CUSA Championship, a tournament that she won last season. In the fall, Hackett won the CUSA Golfer of the Week award in four of the five weeks she played.
Edwards had an impressive freshman season for the Lady Toppers with four finishes in the top 25 throughout the season. She went into the final day of the CUSA Championship with the lead and finished the tournament in fifth place, helping WKU clinch the team title for the second straight season.
WKU will play in the Simpsonville NCAA Regional on Monday, May 11 through Wednesday May 13 at the University of Louisville Golf Course.
