Lady Toppers Tied for Sixth After First Round at "Mo" Morial

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The WKU women's golf team is tied for sixth place at the "Mo" Morial hosted by Texas A&M after round one on Monday. The Lady Toppers carded an 18-over score (306) for the round.

WKU is five strokes back from first place and sits behind Tulsa, No. 25 Missouri, No. 3 Texas A&M, Texas State and Louisiana-Monroe. The Lady Toppers are tied with No. 26 Baylor and are ahead of Northern Colorado, No. 34 Kansas, Abilene Christian, Texas A&M's second squad, UTSA, Charlotte, Lipscomb, Sam Houston and Toledo.

NOTABLES
•   Reagan Ramage leads the Lady Toppers on the leaderboard with a 2-over score (74) after the first round. She's tied for eighth place.
•   Averi Cline shot a 76 (+4) for the round, putting her in a tie for 17th place.
•   Leah Edwards and Sydney Hackett posted a 78 (+6) for the first round, tying for 34th place.
•   Julia Zigrossi is tied for 62nd place after shooting an 82 (+10) in the first round.

QUOTABLE
"The team really battled today," said head coach Adam Gary. "This is the hardest course we have played so far this year. I'm really proud of how they fought. To be within 4 shots of the third ranked team in the country on their home course is solid. We are looking forward to two more rounds!"
