BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Mahurin Family Foundation Head Coach Hank Plona announced the signing of 6-8 rising senior Drew Fuquay to the 2026-27 roster.
Fuquay arrives on The Hill after spending the 2025-26 season at Marshall and two seasons at Gillette College in Gillette, Wyoming.Â
"I am excited about Drew and can't wait to get started coaching him,"Â said Plona. "He can score, rebound, guard and play multiple positions. He's been on three winning teams in college, and we know he can step in a play a big role on a championship team here at WKU."
In 2025-26, Fuquay appeared in 29 games off the bench for the Thundering Herd, shooting an efficient 59.2% from the field.Â
Prior to Marshall, Fuquay was a key contributor at Gillette College, helping lead the Pronghorns to a 56-9 record over two seasons, including a Region IX Finals appearance in 2024-25 and a Region IX Semifinals appearance in 2023-24.
During the 2024-25 season, Fuquay started 31 games and averaged 15.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 55.6% from the field. He scored in double figures 25 times, including 10 games with 20 or more points.
As a freshman in 2023-24, Fuquay appeared in 29 games with 20 starts, averaging 10.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game on 52.3% shooting.Â
Fuquay played his high school basketball at Balboa High School in San Francisco, California.
