BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU women's golf senior Sydney Hackett has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic Second Team, the organization announced on Thursday. Hackett has earned CUSA All-Academic honors in every season she has been on The Hill.
Hackett is a finance major with a 3.90 cumulative GPA.
The Ashburn, Virginia native has been the top finisher for WKU in every tournament this season. In October, Hackett tied for first place at the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate at Tennessee. The senior began the spring season ranked No. 55 in the SCOREBOARD collegiate rankings, the highest ranking by a Lady Topper in program history. She has three top five finishes, five top 10 finishes and seven top 25 finishes this season.
Hackett won the CUSA Championship last season and was named the CUSA Most Improved Golfer and was named to the All-CUSA First Team.
The Lady Toppers will be back in action at the CUSA Championship at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Texas. The tournament begins on Monday, April 20 and runs through Wednesday, April 22.
