BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Athletics and the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation announced the launch of the Hilltopper Hundred Society on Tuesday.
The Hilltopper Hundred Society will serve as the premier philanthropic community for WKU Athletics. Comprised of devoted and generous benefactors, including alumni, family members, community and corporate supporters, this society will play a vital role in providing essential financial backing for WKU student-athletes and coaches, enriching their journey at WKU through philanthropic endeavors.
"In order to continue to elevate WKU Athletics to new heights, it's imperative that we create opportunities for our current and future donors to invest in competitive excellence. Our hope is that the Hilltopper Hundred provides shared ownership among top supporters, momentum that inspires others to give, and predictable annual revenue that allows for strategic planning," said Kathryn Smith, Executive Director of the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation.
The Hilltopper Hundred Society has four five-year commitment levels for giving: $25,000-$49,999; $50,000-$99,000; $100,000-$249,000; and $250,000+. Hilltopper Hundred Society includes various stewardship opportunities to exclusive events, pregame and in-game field passes, branded society gear, opportunities to attend practices and annual society trips to away games. Gifts to the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation are tax deductible.
Contributions to the Hilltopper Hundred Society will help enrich the life of WKU student-athletes in multiple areas, including facility enhancements, scholarship funding, direct support of a team or program and more.
The Hilltopper Athletic Foundation, the fundraising arm of WKU Athletics since 1965 which has raised more than $33 million in the last decade, was formerly known as the Hilltopper Hundred Club and serves as the namesake for the major giving society.
