BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Athletics will hold an open house walkthrough event at the Tim and Sarah Ford Fieldhouse during the first and second innings of the WKU Baseball game against Louisville on Tuesday, March 24.
Fans who have purchased tickets to the WKU Baseball game against Louisville will be able to see the new athletic areas of the Tim and Sarah Ford Fieldhouse any time during the first and second innings of the game. The game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. CT. To purchase tickets to the game, call the WKU Ticket Office at 1-800-5-BIG RED.
Patio access will be restricted to those with patio tickets, and no food or drink will be allowed inside the facility. Fans participating in the Tim and Sarah Ford Fieldhouse walkthrough event will need to enter the facility through the WKU Baseball entrance, located on the third base side of Nick Denes Field.
The 122,000-square-foot Tim and Sarah Ford Fieldhouse will be home to the WKU Forensics and Esports programs, as well as provide practice and training space for the Big Red Marching Band and Hilltopper Athletics. The new facility includes a new, 21,000-square-foot WKU Baseball clubhouse with locker room, weight room, team room and coaches' offices, as well as a new hitting facility with four batting cages and a flexible multi-purpose space. The Tim and Sarah Ford Fieldhouse also includes an 87,000-square-foot indoor training facility for use by the WKU Marching Band, WKU Athletics, Intramurals and the greater WKU community.
WKU will hold the building dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Tim and Sarah Ford Fieldhouse earlier in the day on Tuesday, March 24, with the ceremony beginning at 10 a.m. CT. The public is invited to attend the event. Tours of the facility will be available following the building dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony, and light refreshments will also be served. Attire for the ceremony is red WKU spirit wear and turf-appropriate footwear.
