ABOUT THE TOPS
- Through 26 games, Salma Khedr is the leading scorer for the Lady Toppers, averaging 10.7 points per game each. Zsofia Telegdy is the team's leading rebounder, pulling down 4.7 boards per game.
- Sophomore point guard currently leads CUSA in assists per game, averaging 4.8 per game, and leads in assist/turnover ratio with a rate of 2.1.
- WKU held Jax State to just 41 total points on Feb. 14, limiting the Gamecocks to 14 points in the second half. The 41 total points are the fewest WKU has allowed in a conference game since holding UTSA to 38 on Jan. 18, 2018. The 14 second half points were the fewest in a half since the Lady Toppers held Little Rock to 12 first half on Dec. 11, 2022.
- Against the Salukis, WKU had nine team blocks which is the tied for the seventh most in program history.
- Scoring has been balanced for the Lady Toppers this season. Through 26 games, WKU has had nine different leading scorers (Salma Khedr 10 times; Torri James four times; Zsofia Telegdy three times; Tia Shelling, Tatum Boettjer, Jeniffer Silva and Trinity Rowe twice; Caleigh-Rose West and Enni Ahervuo once).
- WKU returns eight from the 2024-25 roster in Zsofia Telegdy, Torri James, Tia Shelling, Caleigh-Rose West, Mya Pratcher, Tatum Boettjer, Yendri Acosta and Salma Khedr. Telegdy is the only returning starter from a season ago. Boettjer made her Lady Topper debut after sitting out the 2024-25 season due to injury.
- The 2025-26 roster is a veteran one with six seniors or fifth years. While the roster is an older one, no player has been at WKU longer than two seasons.
- WKU has international flavor once again with six international players. That is the most on a Lady Topper team all time, topping last season's five international players.
- Trinity Rowe is the 15th Miss Kentucky Basketball to play at WKU all time and the first since Ivy Brown (2015-18). The fifteen Miss Kentucky Basketball winners that have suited up for the Lady Toppers are the most for any team in the country.
- Greg Collins is in his eighth season as head coach at WKU, which is the third longest tenure of any Lady Topper head coach all time.
SERIES INFORMATION
- Saturday's game will be the ninth all-time meeting between WKU and Liberty. The series began in 2002. The Flames own a 7-1 record in the all-time series.
- The first game this season between WKU and Liberty in Diddle Arena was a close one with the Flames coming away with a 55-53 win. Salma Khedr had 18 points in that game and Zsofia Telegdy added 13 points and 12 rebounds.
ABOUT THE FLAMES
- Liberty is currently sixth in the CUSA standings with a 9-7 record in conference play. The Flames have wins against New Mexico State (twice), UTEP (twice), WKU, Missouri State, Jacksonville State, Missouri State and Middle Tennessee. Liberty has losses to Sam Houston, Louisiana Tech, Delaware, Middle Tennessee, FIU, Kennesaw State and FIU.
- Avery Mills is the top scorer for Liberty, averaging 15.2 points per game. Mills had been out since the Feb. 5 game at Jacksonville State, but returned to action against Middle Tennessee on Thursday, Feb. 26, playing 15 minutes.
- Ify Nwaobi is the team's leading rebounder, pulling down 9.8 rebounds per game. Nwaobi did not play against WKU in the first matchup this season.
