BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Women's Tennis opened a six-match homestand with a 6-1 win over Butler on Sunday at the Warren County Tennis Facility at Michael O. Buchanon Park.
The Lady Toppers (6-5) claimed the doubles point with wins from Barbara Olvera and Virginia Madueño at the No. 2 position and from Isabelle Einess and Ariadna Fernandez at the No. 3 position to start the match, then picked up singles wins from Einess, Emily Schut, Madueño, Olvera and Fernandez to take down the Bulldogs (3-10).

- WKU Women's Tennis Head Coach Greg Davis has 343 career wins as a head coach. He entered the season tied for 23rd nationally in wins among active NCAA Division I Women's Tennis head coaches with at least five years as a Division I head coach, counting all victories as a coach at a four-year institution. Davis entered the season with a career winning percentage of .637, which ranked 36th among that group of coaches.
- Davis has collected 84 wins at WKU, which ranks third in program history. He is three wins from being tied with Betty Langley for second in coaching wins in program history.
