BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- WKU's Gina Stoll has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Softball Oversight Committee. Stoll is in her fourth year as the Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior Women's Administrator and has been with the Hilltoppers since 2016.
The purpose of the Softball Oversight Committee is to develop policies and procedures governing the administration and conduct of the NCAA Division I Softball Championship in addition to overseeing regulatory areas such as recruiting, playing and practice seasons, and playing rules.
As a member of the committee, Stoll will also be a voting member of the selections for the NCAA Women's College World Series. Stoll's term will end in August of 2027.
The NCAA Division 1 Softball Oversight Committee is comprised of 18 members while Stoll is the representative for Conference USA:
- 4 representatives from the autonomy conferences - 1 from each conference.
- 3 representatives from the highest ranked nonautonomy conferences.
- 3 representatives from the remaining conferences.
- 4 student-athlete representatives.
- 1 faculty athletics representative (nonvoting).
- 1 officials coordinator (nonvoting).
- 1 rules-editor (nonvoting).
- 1 coaches association representative (nonvoting).
