ABOUT THE TOPS
- WKU snapped (RV) Indiana's eight-match win streak on Friday in a 3-0 sweep. Freshman right side Kaira Knox racked up 22 kills, the most by a freshman since Nov. 1, 2002.
- The Hilltoppers posted a .306 hitting percentage over the weekend and held their opponents to a .141 hitting percentage. Their best defensive performance came against Austin Peay who posted a -.041 hitting percentage.
- Kaira Knox led the offense through the weekend, totaling 33 kills on a .444 hitting percentage. A six-rotation player, Knox also collected six blocks and two service aces.
- Sonja Laaksonen had her biggest weekend yet, accruing 10 kills in two sets and only committing one hitting error to finish with a .409 clip.
- WKU's middles also had major contributions, with Izzy Van De Wiele and Faith Young securing 43 kills between the two of them. Van De Wiele led at the net with 12 blocks on the weekend while Young posted a team-high seven service aces.

- The Cardinals are currently ranked fourth in the country in blocks per set at 3.16 and have a total of 110 blocks so far.
- Payton Petersen leads the Cardinals' offense with 119 kills with a .222 hitting percentage. Chloe Chicoine is not far behind with 98 kills.
- Cara Cresse was named ACC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 15 after posting 28 blocks and 49 kills during the Bluejay Invitational and their match against No. 2 Texas.
- Louisville also handed Creighton its first home loss since 2022 on Sept. 12.
