ABOUT THE TOPS
- The Hilltoppers enter the matchup with a record of 3-4-1 after a 0-0 draw with Austin Peay last Thursday.
- Georgia Liapis and Danielle Lewin led the Tops with three shots apiece in the draw..
- Liapis also managed a shot on goal in 87 minutes of action.
- Maddie Davis played the full 90 in goal for WKU, charting four saves on senior night.
- Davis' four saves mark the second most this season for the graduate senior from Waterloo, Ill.
- Thursday marked the first shutout of the year for Maddie Davis in goal. Davis now has 15 shutouts in her WKU career which now stands alone as the third most in program history.
- Davis now has 142 saves in her career which is tied-fourth all-time in WKU Soccer history.
- Three Hilltoppers played the full 90 minutes for WKU in Davis, Alyvia Walls, and Abby Wiedermann.
- Wiedermann has played the full 90 in six matches this season. Thursday night marked the third straight for the sophomore.
- Following last Thursday's match, Liapis leads the team with 20 total shots and eight on goal for the season.
SERIES INFORMATION
- Thursday's matchup will mark just the second meeting between Kennesaw State and WKU.
- The series currently stands at 0-0-1.
- Last season, the two squared off in Bowling Green on Oct. 3, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
- Lilly Rummo scored the game tying goal in that match in the 86th minute. She was assisted by current Hilltopper Georgia Liapis.
- WKU got off 13 shots in that matchup, compared to seven for Kennesaw State.
SCOUTING THE OWLS
- Kennesaw State enters Sunday's matchup with a record of 1-5-1.
- The Owls charted their first win of the season Wednesday night with a 7-1 victory over Alabama State.
- Rebecca Womer led the Owls with two goals. Ava Bradford led the team in assists with two and a goal.
- Womer has the team lead three goals this season. As a team, the Owls have scored 11.
- In goal Sara Hill leads Kennesaw State with 28 saves in eight matches played.
