BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Men's Basketball is slated to play Vanderbilt in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament in November. The Hilltoppers will face off against the Commodores at 11 a.m. CT on November 26 in Imperial Arena at Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN.
WKU holds an 11-14 mark against Vanderbilt, who finished with a NET ranking of 40 and record of 20-12 in 2024-25. The Hilltoppers last played the Commodores in Nashville in 2010, falling 62-82. The series dates back to 1926 where WKU started the series winning seven of the first nine matchups.
The Hilltoppers will play either South Florida or VCU in their second game of the tournament on Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. CT or 4:30 p.m. CT. South Florida finished last year 12-19 with a NET of 189 while VCU went 27-6 with a final NET of 31.
WKU is 45-47 all-time against the field, with the other side of the bracket featuring Colorado State, Saint Mary's, Virginia Tech and Wichita State. The Hilltoppers have met each team at least three times, except Colorado State who they've only played once.
The Hilltoppers are guaranteed three games in the three-day tournament with the championship game scheduled for 12 p.m. CT on Nov. 28. The championship game will be broadcasted on ESPN2.
This will be WKU's first game outside the continental United States since playing in the Northern Classic in Quebec, Canada in 2023.
