BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Soccer fell to Dayton 1-0 on Thursday night at the WKU Soccer Complex. With the loss WKU falls to 2-2-0 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED
WKU managed to get on the attack first as Georgia Liapis charted the first shot of the game. WKU would get off a few more shots in the half with the two teams trading possessions throughout the rest of the first 45 minutes. Dayton managed to break the 0-0 tie in the 33rd minute of the match.
WKU had four shots in the first half with two on goal. Maddie Davis had two saves and one goal allowed in the period.
In the second half the Hilltoppers managed to get three more shots off, finishing the night with seven total. Maddie Davis recorded one more save in the second half. Mia Merritt, Georgia Liapis, and Abby Wiedermann all charted a shot in the last 45 minutes of the match.
