KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – WKU men's golf wrapped up a rainy day one of the Irish Creek Collegiate on Monday in Kannapolis, North Carolina in 12th place. The event was supposed to feature 36 holes of play on Monday, but was shortened to just 18 due to the conditions.
In the play-six, count-four format, WKU played at a disadvantage after Stephen Warren withdrew midway through his round.
Freshman Trevor Drew led the way with a 2-over 72 and is tied for 20th. He tallied three birdies on the day to lead the Hilltoppers.
The course played tough on Monday, as only six players in the 100-player field were under par.
