DALLAS – WKU Baseball defeated #17 Dallas Baptist 4-3 in the series opener on Friday night at Horner Ballpark.
The Hilltopper pitching staff held the high-powered Patriots offense scoreless for the final eight innings while Camden Ross launched a go-ahead three-run home run to the opposite field in the third inning to give the Tops the lead and they never looked back.
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Hilltoppers cut the Patriot lead to two with an RBI single from Kyle Hayes in the second frame.
• Ross powered a three-run shot over the right field wall to put WKU in the lead in the third. That would ultimately be end of the scoring as both offenses failed to cross any more runs in the final six innings.
