The Lady Tops are without senior Catie Craig, who tees it up at the Augusta National Women's Amateur beginning on Wednesday. Despite missing Craig, WKU has two inside the Top 20 and three inside the Top 30.
Purdue, who is ranked No. 39 in the latest national rankings, leads the event at 1-over. WKU is 26-over through two rounds but leads several strong programs in the 16-team field including No. 59 Minnesota, No. 69 Florida Gulf Coast, No. 78 Furman, No. 90 UTSA and No. 97 North Florida.
NOTABLES
- Sydney Hackett played the Par 4s at even-par, tied for third-best in the field, and was 1-under on the Par 3s, also tied for third-best. Hackett tallied seven birdies on the day, tied for fifth-best in the field.
- Averi Cline had WKU's lone eagle on the day, a three on the Par-5 8th in the second round. Cline was 2-under on the Par 5s, tied for fifth-best in the field.
- Nina McMurtrey had 26 pars, tied for most in the field, and Julia Zigrossi had 25, tied for sixth-best.
- WKU was very steady throughout Monday, totaling a tournament best 117 pars.
- WKU is tied for second in Par 3 scoring at 9-over. Thanks to two hole-in-ones, Purdue dominated the Par 3 scoring at 2-under on the day, 11 shots better than their competition.
- The Lady Tops were 26-over on the Par 4s, good for third-best in the field.
