NOTABLES
- Junior Gage Doyle carded another 72 for the round, giving him an even 216 for the tournament. Doyle finished with 14 birdies which is tied for the third most in the field and his 3.87 stroke average on Par 4s is tied for the best average in the tournament.
- Freshman Will Easterlin fired a 69 (-3) for the day, bringing him up to a 1-over (217) score for the tournament for a 19th place finish.
- Sophomore Trevor Drew posted a 72 (E) for the round to finish with a 6-over (222) score for the tournament putting him in a tie for 35th place.
- Redshirt freshman Ethan Smith also carded a 72 (E) for the round. His 227 (+11) for the tournament put him in a tie for 55th place.
- Junior Rafe Blankenship posted a 74 (+2) in the third round, bringing his total score to 228 (+12) putting him in a tie for 58th place.
- Sophomore Reed Richey, playing in a separate 36-hole event, fired a 77 (+6) bringing his total score to 155 (+13) for a tie for 20th place.
- The Hilltoppers had 49 birdies in the tournament, the fourth most of any team in the field.
QUOTABLE
"I was really proud to see the guys bounce back well today," said head coach Austin King. "Yesterday we didn't execute very well and today everyone was very solid all day. This is a good group of guys with a lot of talent who will continue to get better, and I'm excited to finish off the fall strong at Furman this weekend!"
