ABOUT THE TOPS
- WKU is off to a 2-1 start to the 2024 season after notching a pair of wins last week against Union (Tenn.) and Evansville. In both games, the Hilltoppers scored four goals marking the first time WKU has scored 4-plus goals in back-to-back games since the 2018 season (Oct. 5 vs. FIU, 4-0 win; Oct. 7 vs. UTEP, 4-3 win). WKU's 3.00 goals per game is first in Conference USA and 17th in the nation.
- Kayla Meyer leads WKU in goals scored on the season with three through three games. The senior had two against Union and netted another against Evansville. Her 1.00 goals per game rate is tied for the most by any player in CUSA and tied for third in the country.
- Freshman Abby Wiedermann scored two goals against Evansville. In total, six Hilltoppers have scored goals this season and six have notched assists.
- Maddie Davis has played all three games in goal for WKU this season. She has one shutout on the year and has a .813 save percentage.
- The Hilltoppers return 17 players from the 2023 season and welcomed two transfers and seven freshmen. Among the returners are 2023 starting goalkeeper Maddie Davis, second-leading scorer Kayla Meyer and defensive starters Aspen Seaich, Kendall Wade and Lily Rummo. Of WKU's 26 players, 14 are underclassmen.
- WKU was picked to finish third in the preseason Conference USA coaches poll. Liberty was picked first and New Mexico State was selected second. The Hilltoppers finished third in Conference USA last season with a 4-2-2 record in conference play. The Hilltoppers were 6-5-7 overall. The seven ties were a school and CUSA record.

- Sunday's match will be the first ever match between the two programs.
- Arkansas comes into the match with a No. 6 national ranking in the United Soccer Coaches poll. That will be the highest ranked opponent WKU has played since taking on No. 2 Notre Dame on Sept. 13, 2003. In fact, it is only the second time WKU has played a team in the top 10.
SCOUTING THE RAZORBACKS
- Arkansas is off to an unbeaten start to the 2024 season with three wins and a draw against then No. 8 Michigan State. The Razorbacks are ranked No. 6 in the country and were picked to win the SEC.
- Arkansas is scoring 5.75 goals per game, which leads the country. The team leads the country in several offensive categories: assists per game (7.00), points per game (18.50), shots on goal per game (16.00), total assists (28), total goals (23), and total points (74).
- Kate Doyle has scored five goals this season, the third most in the nation and the most of any SEC player. Five total Razorbacks have scored multiple goals this season.
