BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – As the Tops led 2-0 over Indiana in the top of the fourth inning, WKU Softball and the Hoosiers' Tuesday night game was deemed a no contest as lightning and inclement weather surrounded the Bloomington area for the rest of the evening.
WKU led the Hoosiers, 2-0, after a TJ Webster RBI single into left field was followed up by an Indiana error, advancing Webster home. The Hilltoppers owned four hits, while fifth-year right-hander Katie Gardner dealt two strikeouts, only giving up three hits with no runs to the Hoosier offense.
Conference USA action is next for the Tops, as the Red and White will face New Mexico State for a three-game series in Las Cruces, March 8-10.
