BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Women's Tennis will face Southeast Missouri on Friday at 6 p.m. CT at the Warren County Tennis Facility at Michael O. Buchanan Park to close out a three-match homestand.
The Lady Toppers enter the matchup at 1-2 after splitting a pair of home matchups last weekend against Northern Kentucky and Western Carolina. WKU swept the Norse 7-0 on Friday and fell 4-3 in a close match Sunday with the Catamounts.
Sofia Blanco has posted a 3-0 record in singles play to start the season, while Mariana Zegada is also unbeaten in singles at 2-0 and Paola Cortez and Anna-Marie Kopecka are each 2-1. Cortez and Kopecka are unbeaten in doubles together at 2-0.
WKU holds a 3-2 record over SEMO, but the two programs haven't met since the 2014 season. The Redhawks enter Friday's match at 0-2, with losses against Belmont and Murray State.
