BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Brent Chumbley has announced Hilltopper Track & Field's 2025 competition schedule.
The 2025 slate will get underway in Louisville with the Rod McCray Memorial Invitational Jan. 10-11, hosted by the University of Kentucky. The Tops will then head back to Louisville and the Norton Sports and Learning Center with a pair of meets hosted by Bellarmine. The Bellarmine Open will commence on Friday, Jan. 17. The Tops will compete in another single day meet, the Bellarmine Classic on Jan. 24. WKU will then travel two teams Feb. 14-15. One group will travel to Huntington, W.V. for the Marshall Invitational. The other will head to Birmingham, Ala. for the Bulldog Invite at Samford University.Â
The 2025 indoor campaign culminates with the CUSA Championships on Feb. 28 and March 1 in Lynchburg, Va. NCAA Indoor Championships will also be held in Virginia on March 14-15 in Virginia Beach.Â
To kick off the outdoor season, WKU will travel to Murray, Ky. in a meet hosted by Murray State on March 21-22. The following week, WKU will return to The Hill to host the Hilltopper Relays at the Charles M. Ruter Track and Field Complex on March 28-29.
Next, WKU will compete four straight weekends with three of the four meets hosted by power four schools. First, the Tops will travel to Knoxville, Tenn. for a meet hosted by the University of Tennessee, April 4-5. WKU will then travel to Little Rock, Ark. April 11-12 for a meet hosted by UA-Little Rock.Â
The Hilltoppers will return to the Bluegrass state for a pair of meets to wrap up the regular season. First at the University of Louisville April 25-26 followed by a trip to Kentucky, May 2-3.
The 2025 outdoor season wraps up with the CUSA Championships hosted by Middle Tennessee (May 16-18). NCAA Regionals will be held in Jacksonville, Fla. May 28-31. 2025 Outdoor Championships will be held at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. June 11-14.
