BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU women's basketball senior point guard Alexis Mead earned Conference USA Co-Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday, Dec. 30.
Mead led the Lady Toppers with 18 points against No. 16 Kentucky. The Moreno Valley, California native went 8-of-8 from the free throw line, the 41st time she's gone perfect from the charity stripe in her career. Mead also dished out four assists and had three steals against the Wildcats.
In her time on The Hill, Mead has reached 1,000 career points and is in the top 10 in career steals and career assists in the WKU record book.
Mead and the Lady Toppers will tip off CUSA play this week, hosting Liberty on Thursday and FIU on Saturday.
