- Babacar Faye led the Tops in scoring in the team's season opener against Wichita State on Monday, charting a career-best 28 points with 8 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block
- A total of three Hilltoppers finished in double figures on Monday
- Don McHenry finished with 21 points with four assists, four rebounds, two steals and a pair of blocks
- Freshman Julius Thedford saw his first action as a Hilltopper on Monday and recorded double-digit points (11) along with four rebounds and a pair of blocks
- WKU found nearly half (40) of its points against Wichita State in the paint; the Tops also capitalized on 21 second-chance points in Monday's opener and scored a total of 14 points off fast breaks Â
Saturday will mark the first-ever meeting between the programs. A win would serve as the Tops' first-ever victory in the state of Arizona and end the Lopes' 17-game home winning streak. WKU would also become the first team to win in Global Credit Union Arena since Seattle on Feb. 24, 2023.

SCOUTING THE LOPES
