HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ Â
Set 1: 25-23Â
FIU took the first set of the match as Van De Wiele posted four total kills with Cox and senior rightside hitter Kenadee Coyle right behind her with three kills each. While the Hilltoppers bested the Panthers in virtually every stat category, it was the four service errors that proved to be the difference.Â

Set 2: 25-14Â
In the second set, WKU cruised to set two victory thanks to a staggering .720 [18-0-25] hitting percentage. It was all about the offensive efforts from the underclassmen as Van De Wiele and freshman pin hitter Faith Young combined for 10 of WKU's 18 kills in the set. Not only was the .720 hitting percentage responsible for the win, the Hilltoppers also added three service aces to their stat line. Howard and Cox were responsible for the success, with Howard posting two and Cox responsible for the remainder. At the net, four different Hilltoppers came together to bring the block total to five.  Â

Coyle, Van De Wiele, and Young also made stops at the net with two blocks a piece and added another four blocks to the team total to improve to nine total blocks. Â
