The Hilltoppers enter Wednesday night's game coming off a 66-61 victory over Lipscomb on Sunday to secure a second win on the 2024-25 season. Enoch Kalambay recorded an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double in the win, while Don McHenry once again led the Tops in scoring with 21 points. Babacar Faye posted 17 points off 6-for-10 shooting from the field and 5-of-6 from the stripe to go along with nine rebounds, two blocks, a pair of steals and an assist.

WKU stands at 2-0 all time when facing the Tigers in a series dating back to 1988.
