- Dwyer led WKU with a 72 in the first round, including two birdies on holes 3 and 18.
- Savannah Howell had the second-best score of the day for the Lady Toppers, shooting 2-over (74). After finishing the back nine with a 4-over score, Howell bounced back for three straight birdies on the front nine and another birdie on hole 6 to cut her score to 2-over for the day.
- Sydney Hackett heads into day two tied for 35th in the field with a 3-over score (75). She made par of 13 of the 18 holes and had a birdie on hole 17.
- Averi Cline is tied for 42nd place with a 4-over score for the first round. She had three birdies in the round.
