SAPPHIRE, N.C. – Hilltopper Golf teed off opening day of the JT Poston Invitational hosted by Western Carolina Monday morning and are currently 14th on the board posting a 580 total score after the first two rounds.
Graduate student Luke Fuller is currently the leader for the Tops, being tied for 23rd on the board. Fuller had an extremely solid showing through the first two rounds in North Carolina. Fuller posted an Even-71 followed by a 1-under 70 in round two.
Connery Meyer and Riley Grindstaff wrapped up Monday tied for 59th. Both Tops scored a 4-over 146 through the opening rounds.
Redshirt junior Nic Hofman shot a 5-over 76 on the day, tying him for 86th.
Rounding out the Tops is junior Stephen Warren, garnering an 151 total score Monday.
The Hilltoppers' wrap up in the invitational with round three Tuesday morning for a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
